SPA supports professional development through technical visits, conferences and knowledge exchange, connecting practitioners with industry experience and new technology.
SPA brings practitioners’ experience into dialogue with public agencies on water and sanitation infrastructure, local challenges and professional practice.

At SK Garau in Kudat, school demonstrations and pupil activities connected water conservation with everyday plumbing. SPA contributed RM1,000 to support environmental education as part of the World Plumbing Day outreach activity.

Plumbing Asia 2026 brought conference discussion and exhibition exchange to Sabah. IEM Sabah approved the 25–26 April event for 10 CPD hours.

SPA representatives joined SIRIM Academy’s Industry Outreach Programme at SIRIM Sabah, gaining exposure to management systems, digital learning and sustainability.

SPA’s delegation visited water utilities, manufacturers and a wastewater treatment plant, and attended Watertech China. The visits created opportunities to exchange knowledge on water supply, leakage control and water technologies.
